Dr. Timothy Bailey MD, FACE, ECNU, FACP

Dr. Bailey is a graduate of The Mount Sinai medical school in New York and board-certified in endocrinology and metabolism.

He is an interventional endocrinologist that has specialized in the treatment of thyroid disease for more than 30 years.

Interventional endocrinology is a new specialty that uses image-guided, less-invasive procedures to address endocrine disorders that offers an alternative to surgery. 

Dr. Bailey is a clinical associate professor of medicine at the University of California at San Diego, where he helps to train endocrinology fellows. He is a past president of the California chapter and former board member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. 

He is active in clinical research and has served as Principal Investigator on more than 200 phase 1 to 4 clinical trials. He has published more than 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals.

He lectures to physicians  and consults with medical device companies locally and internationally.

Dr. Hariharan’s work experience post her fellowship in endocrinology includes a combination of teaching and clinical experiences at Cambridge Health Alliance (an affiliate of Harvard Medical School), Tufts Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Northshore University Health System (an affiliate of University of Chicago). Through her years of experience, her forte has been exceptional care for patients with diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, osteoporosis, and calcium disorders, which has been recognized through awards over the years:

  • Certificate of recognition for “Exceptional Patient Care” (Albany Medical Center)
  • Oliver Smith Award: In recognition of excellence, compassion and extraordinary and thoughtful care and service to patients. (Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA)
